Day after the other, the phases of the manufacture and installation of the pieces of the new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) are progressing continuously according to a plan prepared for these works. After the manufacture of all pieces of the golden decorative frieze, the works of their installation on the wooden structure of the grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) were conducted in record time in an artistic method with high durability, and the working staff in it have finished this project of fixing these pieces that are located between the two upper inscriptions of the grid, to be added to all other parts that have been completed in both manufacture and installation.
The decorative frieze which is manufactured out of 22 carat gold, surrounds the four sides of the holy grid, consisting of 18 pieces of a weight of 9 kg each, shaped like (S), with a length of 128 cm, height 35 cm and a thickness of 1mm. The gold amount used in the manufacture of all these pieces is of 180 kgs.
The installation method is characterized, like other parts, by numerous advantages including the internal works of installation that are not visible to make it looks like one whole piece, by linking the frieze's pieces and fixing them on the wooden structure, or on the sides of the two inscriptions, located under and on top of the decorative frieze, which needs a larger accuracy by the servants of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) of the workers in this project.
It is to mention that the decorative frieze's pieces were manufactured in the beginning from pure silver painted with gold, but the supervising committee on the grid's manufacture advised to manufacture these pieces out of pure gold, in line with the rest of the gold parts in the holy grid.
