The holy city of Karbala witnessed the arrival of mourning processions from various provinces of Iraq to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), according to the third narration, in coordination with the Department of Hussayni Rituals, Processions, and Bodies.
One of the department's staff members, Mr. Hussein Aref Karim, said: "The Rituals Department began early preparations for this occasion by developing a comprehensive organisational plan that included a timeline and a spatial schedule to determine the movement of the processions, ensuring the smooth performance of the mourning rituals and preventing any intersection with the flow of visitors."
For his part, the caretaker of the Qamar Bani Hashim Association, Mr. Hassan Al-Khafaji, stated that "the processions participated in offering condolences at the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) on the martyrdom anniversary of as-Siddiqah al-Kubra (peace be upon her)."
He added that "the mourning processions appreciate the efforts of the Department of Hussayni Rituals and Processions in facilitating organisational procedures and creating suitable conditions for performing the mourning ceremonies."
