The First Southern Green Belt continues its weekly tree maintenance activities

The staff of the irst FSouthern Green Belt Division affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine continue their weekly tree maintenance work.

The head of the Agriculture Division, Mr. Sajjad Hussein, said: "The staff of the Prevention Unit in the division continue their weekly work of treating all the trees in the green belt."

He added that "the work includes spraying bitter orange trees and others with insecticides, and treating the soil with fungicides to prevent agricultural diseases."

Hussein explained that "the work included spraying the flowers with high-nitrogen fertilisers to stimulate them and enhance plant growth."
