The Grid Manufacturing Department is conducting maintenance work on the door of Imam Al-Hadi at the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them)

The Department of Manufacturing Holy Shrines' Grids and Doors at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine conducted maintenance work on the door of Imam Ali al-Hadi (peace be upon him), located in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The head of the carpentry department, Mr. Samir Lotfi, said that "the maintenance work included a comprehensive inspection of all parts of the door and its outer frame to diagnose areas of damage and weakness, and to address them in a way that ensures its structural integrity and restores its lustre and durability before reinstalling it in its designated location."

He added that "the work also included installing the parts in contact with the floor, made of 5 mm thick stainless steel, to protect it from moisture and preserve its historical identity."

Lotfi pointed out that "the height of the door's outer frame is 396 cm and its width is 266 cm, while the door itself is about 293 cm long and 222 cm wide."

The department is keen, through continuous maintenance and upkeep, to preserve the Islamic heritage and maintain the historical landmarks of the holy shrine.
