The holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) are discussing the plan for the central graduation ceremony for Iraqi university students

The delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine discussed with the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Holy Shrine the plan for the sixth central graduation ceremony for Iraqi university students.

The University and School Relations Division of the Public Relations Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is holding a graduation ceremony for Iraqi university students (the sixth batch on the guidance of the moon) on the 11th of December this year. The event will last for two days as part of the National Al-Kafeel Youth Project, under the slogan "From the Rain of Karbala, Generosity Grows," with the participation of more than 5,000 students from 75 public and private universities across various provinces of Iraq.

The head of the Security Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, Mr. Hussein Al-Shahristani, said, "The two holy shrines discussed during a joint coordination meeting the plan for the central graduation ceremony for Iraqi university students, with the participation of heads of several departments concerned with organising the security and service plans."

He added that "the meeting reviewed the details of the procession plan, which starts from the Qibla Gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), passing through the holy courtyard, reaching the area between the two holy shrines, then entering through the Gate of Martyrs to the courtyard of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), and exiting through the Gate of Honour, in addition to discussing the organisation of the rows and determining their paths to ensure smooth movement."

He explained that "the agreement included providing barriers inside the courtyard of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) to separate the paths of students from the esteemed visitors, ensuring a smooth Ziyarat and preventing any crowding, in addition to preparing an ambulance and a fire truck to be near the starting points of the convoys, similar to the procedures followed in previous years."

Al-Shahrastani continued, "The meeting also included the adoption of an alternative plan for the procession in case of any emergency, which includes mechanisms for students' entry and exit and their boarding of vehicles upon return, in order to ensure the continuation of the organisation without disruption."

He pointed out that "an agreement has been reached to clear the parking areas in the region between the Two Holy Shrines to facilitate the movement of students, expedite their passage, and prevent any delays, in addition to accurately setting departure, entry, and exit times to ensure the highest levels of smoothness and organisation."

For his part, the head of the Security Department at the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Holy Shrine, Mr. Rasool Abbas Fadhalah, mentioned that "the meeting with the delegation from the Al-Abbas's (å) Holy Shrine focused on coordinating efforts between the two holy shrines to hold the ceremony this year, ensuring the regular entry and exit of students as has been customary in previous years."

He pointed out that "the meeting was fruitful and resulted in clear recommendations, as all previous obstacles were reviewed, confirming that the plans will proceed with high coordination between the heads of departments in the two holy shrines, to ensure the ceremony is organised according to the pre-established plan."
