Al-Kafeel University honoured more than 650 of its female students who adhered to the Iraqi abaya during official working hours.

The ceremony, held under the patronage of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi, began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reciter Ali Al-Zubaidi from the Quranic Institute in Najaf Al-Ashraf, affiliated with the Holy Shrine. This was followed by a speech from the university presidency delivered on behalf of the Director of the Psychological Counselling and Educational Guidance Department, Dr. Hussam Ali Hassan Al-Obeidi.

Al-Abidi affirmed in his speech that this initiative represents a consistent educational and ethical approach adopted by the university with the aim of promoting authentic Islamic values, instilling concepts of modesty and decency, and building a balanced university character capable of facing the intellectual and cultural challenges of the modern era.

The event included an awareness lecture presented by Ms. Ameera Al-Moussawi from the Women's Husseini Public Speaking Division affiliated with the Holy Shrine, in which she reviewed the significance of the hijab and abaya and their roles in preserving human dignity and enhancing the faith-based identity, emphasising the importance of awareness and steadfastness on values amidst contemporary changes.
