The procession of the people of Karbala celebrates the birth anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in Najaf Ashraf

The procession of the people of holy Karbala celebrated the birth anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), in the holy city of Najaf, in coordination with the Department of Rituals, Processions, and Hussainiyahs.

The head of the Representation and Units Management Division, Mr. Haidar Ibrahim, said: "The people of holy Karbala have annually celebrated the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) at his sacred shrine in Najaf Ashraf in cooperation with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine."

He added that "the holy shrine has worked on preparing all the logistical and service requirements to ensure the success of this occasion, including providing special vehicles for transporting visitors to and from, as well as organizing the service aspects."

He pointed out that "the celebration ceremonies included the recitation of poetic verses and religious hymns that expressed meanings of joy and loyalty and contributed to spreading an atmosphere of happiness and delight within the courtyard of Imam Ali's shrine (peace be upon him) with a wide attendance of participants."

This procession is considered an annual tradition that the people of holy Karbala are keen to hold, affirming their continuous commitment to commemorating the events of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and actively participating in demonstrating the meanings of love and loyalty.
