The mourning processions commemorated the death anniversary of Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) at the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) in the holy city of Karbala.
The Department of Rituals, Processions, and Hussaini Bodies supervises the organization of procession movements and facilitates the performance of mourners during the mourning ceremonies.
The mourning processions arrived in the holy city from various Iraqi provinces, amidst an atmosphere of sorrow and grief to commemorate the death anniversary of the Lady of the Hashimite family (peace be upon her).
The mourning processions traversed the streets of the city of Karbala, heading toward the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to offer condolences, then to the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), passing through the square between the two holy shrines.
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is keen on facilitating mourning events to commemorate the occasions of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and providing services to the visitors of the two holy shrines.
