The works on the new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) are progressing in its both sides the manufacture, as most of the pieces have been manufactured, and the installation works go in parallel with them, including the installation of the manufactured pieces on the wooden structure of the new grid, which was erected inside a special place in the factory of the holy shrines' grids of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, according to an action plan developed by its supervising authority.
As any completed piece is installed directly on the wooden structure, like what has been recently installed; the first part of the grid's roof manufactured of copper, and will be coated with gold before the final installation. Noting that it was manufactured manually by the hands of the servants of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) working in the factory, and they are Iraqi employees who have committed to accomplish this work in accordance with the measurements and standards of the grids' manufacture, which was until recently monopolised by some countries.
These pieces went through several manufacturing operations in an artistic way in terms of plant inscriptions and the method used to decorate it, then through installation works with the same skills level, adopting the hidden way to install each piece with the wooden structure, making the 14 pieces of the roof looks like one piece.
It is noteworthy that the first part of the roof of the new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) is one of the three parts that takes the form of a circle quarter and consists of 14 pieces of 128 cm length and 54 cm of width and a weight of about 4 kg. And it was made manually 100% by the most skilled goldsmiths, technicians and artists of the Iraqi staff from the factory of holy shrines' grid of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, as it made out of copper and gold plating and using modern methods that gave it elegance and beauty.
