The ceremony began with a group recitation by a number of reciters from the Scientific Complex, followed by the Iraqi national anthem and the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine's anthem, "The Melody of Pride," as well as the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah for the souls of Iraq's martyrs.
The event, held in the Imam Hassan Hall within the Holy Shrine, was attended by the Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Abbas Musa Ahmed, and several other officials, along with religious and academic figures from Iraq and abroad.
The program included speeches, including one by Dr. Mushtaq Al-Ali on behalf of the Scientific Academy, and another by Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri on behalf of the University of Information Technology. Dr. Muhammad Fahmi Asfour from Egypt also delivered a lecture. A documentary film and an introductory film about the center, its content, and its features were screened, and Mr. Ali Hassan presented a recitation segment. The event concluded with the honoring of participants and contributors to the project's success.
The project was completed under the supervision of the Holy Quran Scientific Academy of the Holy Shrine, which oversaw the planning, scientific and educational supervision, and the pedagogical and programming aspects, in cooperation with the University of Information Technology and Communications.
The Al-Ameed Quran Recitation Center is the first national Quranic project for teaching the Holy Quran in the global digital space, designed and implemented entirely by Iraqi hands.
