The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine honors 125 wearers of the Iraqi abaya from Babylon

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine honored 125 wearers of the Iraqi abaya from the province of Babylon.

The honoring ceremony is organized by the University and School Relations Division of the Public Relations Department at the Holy Shrine, as part of the National Al-Kafeel Youth Project.

The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem and the anthem of the holy shrine (Melody of Pride), and then the recitation of Al-Fatiha in memory of the souls of Iraq's martyrs.

The events included a speech by Mr. Muhammad Al-Mousawi from the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, in which he highlighted the character of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her) as a role model for women and an esteemed example to be followed and emulated in both worship and practical life, due to her representation of noble values and immortal stances that embodied the highest meanings of purity, giving, and steadfastness to principles.

The assistant head of the department, Mr. Mohammed Gelokhan, said: "This event is part of a series of programs aimed at honoring those who wear the Iraqi abaya, including university students, with the goal of enhancing their religious and cultural awareness."

He added that the honoring ceremony included a film showcasing several recommendations from His Eminence Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi, which promote religious and cultural awareness among women and the importance of modesty and societal norms advocated by Islam.

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine aims to promote authentic Islamic values and reinforce the commitment to wearing the abaya among different segments of society.
