The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine concludes the activities of the fifth Al-Saqqaa Quranic Festival in Najaf

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine concluded the activities of the fifth edition of the annual Al-Saqqaa Quranic Festival in the holy city of Najaf.

The festival was organized by the Women's Quranic Institute affiliated with the Office of the Religious Authority for Women's Affairs at the Holy Shrine, under the slogan "The Standard Bearer: A Path of Honor and Loyalty."

The festival activities included a speech by the head of the institute, Ms. Manar Al-Jubouri, in which she affirmed that the Al-Saqqaa Quranic Festival represents an annual station to revive the legacy of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and to recall the values of loyalty, sacrifice, and steadfast faith that he embodied in the Battle of Karbala.

She pointed out that the character of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) represents a model of insight and steadfast faith, affirming that recalling these values enhances doctrinal and spiritual awareness among the participants.

The activities also included a research session, during which the three winning papers in the festival's research competition were discussed, and a performance titled "River of Loyalty," which depicted the stances of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in the Battle of Karbala. Additionally, a video report on the magazine "Nafahat," published by the institute, was presented, along with a collective recitation and honoring of the Quran memorizers, in appreciation of their efforts in memorizing the Book of Allah and encouraging the continuation of their scientific and Quranic journey.

The activities concluded with the honoring of the winning researchers in the research competition, and all accepted papers were awarded participation certificates as part of the institute's efforts to promote scientific research, disseminate the values of loyalty, giving, and sacrifice embodied by Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and encourage researchers to continue their scientific and cultural engagement with his blessed heritage.

The festival aims to instill Quranic values, strengthen the connection with the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and highlight the role of women in preserving religious and educational culture.
