The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine holds the "Veil of Purity" festival to honor female students wearing the Iraqi abaya in Al-Muthanna

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held the "Veil of Purity" festival to honor female students wearing the Iraqi abaya at universities in Al-Muthanna Governorate.

The festival was organized by the University and School Relations Division of the Public Relations Department at the Holy Shrine, as part of the National Al-Kafeel Youth Project in collaboration with Al-Muthanna University.

The assistant head of the Religious Affairs Department at the Holy Shrine, Sheikh Adel Al-Wakeel, said: "The festival included the honoring of more than 250 female students from universities in Al-Muthanna Governorate."

He added, "The festival is part of a series of programs aimed at honoring female students who wear the Iraqi abaya in universities," pointing out that it "aims to raise the level of religious awareness and promote the culture of modesty in university circles."

For his part, the President of Al-Muthanna University, Dr. Hussein Al-Shaher, confirmed that "the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine contributes to holding this event aimed at reforming society, in addition to reinforcing the concept of modesty and social customs advocated by Islam," pointing out the "continuation of cooperation between the university and the holy shrine to organize many events."

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine aims through these activities to promote adherence to authentic Islamic values and to establish the culture of the abaya among various segments of society, especially within the university community.
