The Iraqi Ministry of Communications included the commemorative postage stamp marking the 1000th anniversary of the establishment of the Najaf Ashraf Hawza in the 2026 stamp plan.
The technical assistant to the head of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, and a member of the technical committee for the Alifia of Najaf Al-Ashraf Hawza project, Mr. Ridwan Al-Salami, said: "The stamp was designed by the staff of the Al-Joud Design Center affiliated with the department, and it is part of the visual identity launched by the holy shrine. It will be printed and marketed by the General Company for Post and Savings."
He added that the holy shrine aims through this stamp to document this occasion and keep it present in the cultural and media memory through a medium that carries a civilizational and heritage dimension.
The character represents a qualitative addition to the series of cultural initiatives adopted by the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, in its effort to revive religious and historical occasions.
