The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has completed its preparations to hold the central Ramadhan Quranic recitation in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
The Quranic Institute in Karbala, affiliated with the Scientific Complex of the Holy Quran at the Holy Shrine, holds the completion ceremony.
The head of the complex, Dr. Mushtaq Al-Ali, said: "The complex has completed its preparations to hold the Ramadhan Quranic recitation, which is considered an annual tradition. The holy shrine, through organizing it, aims to delight the esteemed visitors with Quranic recitations that will continue throughout the days of the holy month."
For his part, the director of the institute, Sheikh Jawad Al-Nasrawi, explained that "the preparations included setting up the decor and the platform for the Quranic recitation, in cooperation with several departments of the holy shrine, in addition to preparing special schedules for the participating reciters from the holy shrine and Quranic institutions."
He added that "the schedules will include allocating days for specific categories, such as readers from the security forces, Iraqi university professors, doctors and engineers, and the category of Quran memorizers, where five readers will participate daily to read a part (Juz') of the Holy Book, with one of the religious studies students in the middle."
The Scientific Complex organizes this central recitation in the holy courtyard, in addition to other recitations in the mosques and husseiniyas of Karbala, and in the other branches of the institute; with the aim of spreading Quranic culture and strengthening the connection to the Holy Book of Allah.
