The grid manufacturing department completes 90% of the maintenance work on the previous grid of the shrine of the two Imams (peace be upon them)

The Department of Manufacturing Holy Shrine Grids and Doors at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has completed 90% of the restoration work on the previous grid of the Imams Al-Hadi and Al-Askari (peace be upon them).

The head of the department, Mr. Nadhem Al-Gharabi, said that "the technical staff of the department have made significant progress in the maintenance work of the previous grid of the shrine of the two Imams (peace be upon them), with the completion rate reaching approximately 90%, after it was transferred to a special workshop and the damages caused by a terrorist attack in 2006 were repaired."

He added that "the work stages were carried out after a comprehensive plan was put in place, which included the maintenance of the grid made in 1962, in addition to rehabilitating its damaged parts in order to prepare it and send it to the holy shrine of Imams al-Hadi and al-Askari (peace be upon them) for display in its museum," explaining that "the maintenance work comes within the framework of the cooperation agreement concluded between the holy shrines of Al-Abbas and of Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-Askari, peace be upon them."
