The fifth episode of the third edition of the Al-Ameed International Quran Recitation Award featured participants from Iran, Algeria, and Indonesia.
The Quranic Scientific Complex at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine organizes the competition, with the participation of a select group of readers representing 20 Arab and foreign countries.
The competition is overseen by an international judging panel, consisting of Sheikh Mohamed Basyouni from Egypt, Sheikh Dr. Basim Al-Abadi from Iraq, Dr. Mushtaq Al-Ali from Iraq, Sheikh Mohamed Asfour from Egypt, reciter Mr. Hassanain Al-Helo from Iraq, and Munshid Mr. Karim Mousavi from Iran.
And in the fifth episode of the competition, in the adult category, the reader Mohsen Qasemi from Iran, and the reader Mustafa Jadid from Algeria, and in the youth category, the reader Muhammad Iqbal from Indonesia participated.
The episode featured the Quran memorizer, Mrs. (Shukriya Rahyu), who began a new journey at the age of seventy-one when she decided to memorize the Quran despite her advanced age and the life challenges that weighed heavily on her. She lived many years of suffering after losing her husband and brothers as martyrs, and she bore great responsibilities in raising her daughter, persevering and enduring through difficulties. Despite the harsh circumstances, she did not give up; instead, she continued to strive and work hard until her daughter achieved her dream and became a dentist. Today, this lady continues her struggle with a faithful spirit and strong determination, proving that ambition knows no age and that willpower can create hope no matter how tough the challenges.
And in the fifth episode, the reader Mohsen Qasemi from Iran qualified for the semifinals in the adult category, while the junior category contestants are waiting for the qualifiers from the upcoming episodes.
The competition is considered one of the contributions of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in spreading Quranic culture, as it is the correct path for the betterment of the individual and society, with the participation of readers from Arab and foreign countries.
