The eighth episode of the Al-Ameed Quranic Award features participants from Iraq, Indonesia, and Afghanistan

The eighth episode of the third edition of the Al-Ameed International Quran Recitation Competition featured participants from Iraq, Indonesia, and Afghanistan.

The Quranic Scientific Complex at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine organizes the competition, with the participation of a select group of readers representing 20 Arab and foreign countries.

The competition is overseen by an international judging panel, consisting of Sheikh Mohamed Basyouni from Egypt, Sheikh Dr. Basim Al-Abadi from Iraq, Dr. Mushtaq Al-Ali from Iraq, Sheikh Mohamed Asfour from Egypt, reciter Mr. Hassanein Al-Helo from Iraq, and Munshid Mr. Karim Mousavi from Iran.

In the eighth episode, participating in the adult category were the reader Maman Sitawan from Indonesia and the reader Jawad Hosni from Afghanistan, and in the youth category was the reader Muhammad Ali Sadiq from Iraq.

The episode featured the Lebanese writer and director Reda Al-Razz, who made the Holy Quran his primary source of inspiration in his ideas and works, the latest of which is a children's play that embodies Quranic values and encourages them to learn to read and memorize the Holy Book of God. He emphasized that the relationship with the Quran should be one of contemplation, awareness, and a way of life.

For more than a year, the Lebanese writer lost his sight and his left hand due to the (Beirut) bombings in Lebanon. He recalled the story of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in patience and steadfastness. The heinous attack did not extinguish the flame of thot and creativity within him, allowing him to continue his Quranic and artistic journey with the help of artificial intelligence technologies and electronic reading.

And the reader Jawad Hosni from Afghanistan qualified for the second stage in the adult category, while the contestants in the youth category are waiting for the qualifiers from the upcoming episodes.

The competition is considered one of the contributions of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in spreading Quranic culture, as it is the correct path for the betterment of the individual and society, with the participation of readers from Arab and foreign countries.
