The Host Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine provided about 6,000 meals for visitors on Friday eve.
These services are part of the department's plan aimed at meeting the needs of visitors arriving in the holy city of Karbala.
The department member, Mr. Ali Muhannad, said: "The number of meals on regular days is about 3,000, while the number increases on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays to nearly 6,000 meals, in line with the rising number of visitors."
He added that "the catering staff work according to an organized mechanism for preparing, and distributing meals smoothly, while adhering to the approved health standards."
Mohannad explained that "these services came as part of the department's efforts to enhance the level of service provided to visitors to ensure their comfort."
The department's plan includes providing iftar and suhoor meals for the staff of the holy shrine, in support of their continuous efforts in serving the visitors and reviving the atmosphere of the holy month.
