Sayed al-Sistani offers condolences on the martyrdom of Sayed al-Khamenei

The supreme religious authority, His Eminence Sayed Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani, extended his condolences to the Iranian people and all Muslims on the martyrdom of His Eminence Sayed Ali Khamenei.

And the statement read:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we will return)
With deep sorrow, I extend my condolences to the noble Iranian people and all Muslims on the martyrdom of the esteemed leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Eminence Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei (may God have mercy on him).
The esteemed position of His Eminence and his unique role in leading the Islamic Republic of Iran over many years is clear to everyone. There is no doubt that the enemies intended, by his martyrdom and the wide-scale military aggression against Iran, to inflict severe damage on this beloved country. It is expected that the great Iranian people will maintain their unity, strengthen their ranks, and not allow the aggressors to achieve their nefarious goals.
I ask God Almighty to grant the deceased high ranks and divine satisfaction, and to bestow beautiful patience and great reward upon all those who are mourned by his loss.
There is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.
