Al-Kafeel Museum delivers two new batches of the artifacts to the Askariyayn Holy Shrine after completing the restoration work

The Al-Kafeel Museum of Treasures and Manuscripts at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine handed over the second and third collections of the Askariyayn Holy Shrine's artifacts, following the completion of their restoration and technical maintenance works, as part of its continuous efforts to preserve the religious and historical heritage.

The technical staff in the storage and laboratory departments of the museum completed the inspection, documentation, and treatment of the 55 pieces in the collection. The work included the maintenance and restoration of the items using specialized materials, and their delivery to the Askariyayn Holy Shrine for display in its new museum.

The head of the Al-Kafeel Museum Department, Mr. Naef Al-Moussawi, said: "The maintenance and restoration works are a continuation of the work plan outlined in the cooperation memorandum between the two holy shrines, which aims to preserve and maintain the heritage artifacts."

He added that "the staff of the Al-Kafeel Museum utilized their artistic expertise and laboratory capabilities to complete the work with the required precision, documenting all stages scientifically," indicating that "the restored pieces varied between metal objects, white and firearms, traditional textiles, and others."
