Sheikh Al-Karbala'i, the Secretary-General of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) has visited the Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital and he was accompanied by a delegation that included a number of medical staff of the hospital of Imam Zayn Al-'Abideen (peace be upon him), which opening is scheduled in the next few months.
The visit began with a consultative meeting between the staff of Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital and the staff of the hospital of Imam Zayn Al-'Abideen (peace be upon him), in which were discussed many points about the sophistication of the medical services provided by these two medical institutions and in line with the reputation and prestige of the holy shrines of Karbala.
Sheikh Al-Karbala'i stated in the beginning of its meeting: "There is an important point that is taken into consideration for all those coming to this medical institution; this hospital is affiliated to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and came to provide medical services to the citizens, because the State did not provide medical service worthy of Iraq and its citizens for many reasons, and as a result, the holy shrines contribute to reaching a good level of service."
Adding: "The medical services are not enough when provided without taking into account the reputation of the holy shrine, because the holy shrines in Karbala are providing other services, which once provided have to be at the level and the status of the holy shrine and its affiliation to the supreme religious authority."
And continued: "Therefore, I would always recommend to preserve the reputation of the holy shrine's administration, even if it requires sometimes a financial loss or lot of efforts to maintain the strength of this role, that came from two things: First from the supreme religious authority and secondly from the status of the two holy shrines in the hearts of the people."
The delegation has made after than an inspection tour in some of the hospital departments, listening to a detailed explanation about the nature of the work in these departments and the kind of services provided in them.
At the end of this tour, Sheikh Abd Al-Mahdi Al-Karbala'i called the staff of this medical institution to make more effort in order to provide the best services, while expressing his admiration of the achievements of this hospital in spite of the short work period since its opening.
It is to note that during the recent period, there has been a number of complex surgeries conducted at the Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital under the supervision of specialists from inside and outside Iraq.
