The heritage of Samarra in a scientific conference by the Al-'Ameed International Center for Research and Studies..

The Al-'Ameed International Center for Research and Studies in collaboration with the heritage of Samarra Center, has held an academic conference entitled "Heritage of Samarra and the responsibility of scientific research", in order to contribute to the study and collection of the enormous scientific heritage of Samarra city, and working to highlight it, according to a common vision and work strategy between the two centers.
The Director of the heritage center of Samarra; Mr. Mushtaq Al-Asadi explained the aim of this conference saying: " The purpose of this conference is first to accomplish the magazine project, to make research on other topics that are on the agenda for maturation of ideas and visions and to put forward new ideas on the subject for the study of the heritage of Samarra in a new and specialized way, in particular the heritage of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in the city, and especially the holy shrine of the Imams Al-Hadi and Al-'Askari (peace be upon both of them) and the surrounding sanctuaries. A number of academics, researchers and university professors have participated in this conference, focusing on the heritage center of Samarra and its heritage studies in general with the heritage of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in this area. And as you know the Al-'Ameed international center is a specialist center that has a long history of studies and research, and the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrien has a great potential worthy of interest. Therefore, we started to extend bridges of cooperation with all Iraq's universities, by inviting many universities' professors to meet them in the center, and we have agreed to write research and studies and to launch new projects and ideas and working on them. And God willing, in the near future, we will have a puclication that includes a number of research converning the Imams of Samarra in addition to a field study about the geography of Samarra to determine the touristic places in it."
The themes of the conference were:
1- Intellectual and ideological theme.
2- Historical theme.
3- Literary and linguistic theme.
4- Artistic and aesthetic theme.
5- Community theme.
6- Scientific theme.
The conference was concluded with some recommendations by the researchers and professors to research and investigate about this rich heritage.
