The council is organized in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and it lasts for three days, with morning and evening sessions.
The council began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a religious lecture delivered by Sheikh Zaman Al-Hasnawi, who emphasized that holding these councils is in line with the principle of reviving the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
Al-Hasnawi touched upon the injustice faced by the four Imams of Baqi, Imam al-Hasan al-Mujtaba, Imam Zain al-Abideen, Imam Mohammad al-Baqer, and Imam Ja'far al-Sadeq (peace be upon them), and their role in spreading the teachings of Islam.
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is keen on reviving the occasions of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) by holding mourning activities and events, including mourning councils and religious programs.
