The Al-Kafeel Museum of Treasures and Manuscripts at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine handed over two pieces from its collection to the Askariyayn's (p) Holy Shrine after completing their restoration work.
The two pieces consist of a historical pistol and a heritage shield, and they were handed over under the supervision of the staff of the Al-Kafeel Museum to ensure their readiness for display in the upcoming Askariyayn Holy Shrine Museum, which is set to open soon.
The head of the Al-Kafeel Museum Department, Mr. Nafe' Al-Moussawi, said: "This handover comes as part of the ongoing cooperation between the two holy shrines and reflects the museum staff's efforts to preserve and maintain the museum heritage according to the highest scientific standards."
He added that "the Al-Kafeel Museum is keen on enhancing cooperation with the Askariyayn Holy Shrine, in a way that serves the development of museum work in the holy shrines."
The Al-Kafeel Museum seeks through this collaboration to enhance joint museum work, exchange technical expertise in the fields of restoration, storage, and documentation, and enrich national museums with rare historical pieces, reflecting the cultural identity of the Askariyayn holy shrine.
