A delegation from the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine visited war casualties and the families of martyrs in Iran as part of the humanitarian campaign launched by the holy shrine in response to the call of the supreme religious authority.
The head of the Relief Committee at the Holy Shrine and the caravan delegation, Mr. Mohammad Al-Ashigar, said, "The delegation of the Holy Shrine visited the wounded in the hospitals, expressed its solidarity with them, and prayed to Allah Almighty for the swift recovery of all the wounded."
He added that "the delegation provided financial assistance to the wounded from the Iraqi people and what the hands of the faithful offered in response to the call of the supreme religious authority to support and assist the affected," noting that "the delegation visited the families of the martyrs in their homes and presented them with similar assistance and gifts."
A few days ago, the holy shrine sent a humanitarian aid convoy consisting of 38 trucks loaded with 690 tons of humanitarian aid, including 670 tons of essential food items, along with 20 tons of necessary medical supplies.
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine had launched its humanitarian campaign to support the Iranian and Lebanese peoples in response to the call of the supreme religious authority to extend a helping hand to those affected.
This campaign comes as an extension of a series of humanitarian initiatives launched by the holy shrine in previous crises, including supporting the Syrian people during the 2023 earthquake, as well as aiding the people of Gaza and Lebanese displaced persons in 2024. It has been present in all fields to fulfilll its humanitarian and moral duty.
