The relief delegation from the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine visited the families of the martyrs of the recent events in Iran as part of the humanitarian campaign launched by the holy shrine in response to the call of the supreme religious authority.
The head of the Relief Committee at the Holy Shrine and the delegation of its humanitarian convoy to Iran, Mr. Muhammad Al-Ashigar, said: "The Holy Shrine delegation visited several families of the martyrs and expressed its solidarity with them, appreciating their noble sacrifices."
He added, "The delegation provided financial assistance and gifts to the families of the martyrs from the Iraqi people and what the faithful offered in response to the call of the supreme religious authority to support and assist the affected."
A few days ago, the holy shrine sent a humanitarian aid convoy of 38 trucks loaded with 690 tons of humanitarian aid, including 670 tons of essential food supplies, along with 20 tons of necessary medical supplies.
This campaign comes as an extension of a series of humanitarian initiatives launched by the holy shrine in previous crises, including support for the Syrian people during the 2023 earthquake, as well as assistance to the residents of Gaza and Lebanese displaced persons in 2024. It has been present in all fields to fulfilll its humanitarian and moral duty.
