Medical Affairs Department: We sent 20 tons of medicine as part of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine's relief convoy to Iran

The Medical Affairs Department of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced the dispatch of 20 tons of medicines and medical supplies as part of the holy shrine's relief convoy to the Iranian people.

The head of the department, Dr. Haifa Al-Tamimi, said that the department participated by sending 20 tons of medicines and medical supplies, which included anesthetics, emergency and first aid medications, as well as treatments for wounds and burns, nutrients, pain relievers, and children's medicines, in accordance with the nature of the current conditions and their needs.

She added that this participation came in response to the call of the supreme religious authority to extend a helping hand and assistance to the affected, and the directives of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, to contribute to supporting the health sector and providing urgent needs.

Al-Tamimi confirmed the department's readiness to continue its support within the upcoming relief convoys, by preparing medical teams and providing the necessary supplies according to the requirements of the phase.

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine had launched its first relief convoy to the Iranian people, carrying, in addition to medical supplies, 670 tons of basic foodstuffs.
