The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine continues its program for giving the attention and paying tribute to the martyrs' families of the popular mobilization. A ceremony for paying tribute to 42 martyrs' families was held in the hall of Musa Al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) at the holy shrine on Wednesday morning 1ts of Jumada Al-Ula 1437 AH corresponding to the 10th February 2016, 36 of these families are from the province of Karbala, four are from Babylon and two are from Najaf. This tribute comes in compliance with the directives of the supreme religious authority, which urges on the care and the concern for these families, because they have given their children as sacrifices in defence of the homeland, its people and its holy places.
Sheikh Majid Al-Sultani from the Department of the religious affairs at the holy shrine and the supervisor on the tribute said: "All praise to Allah, we have paid tribute to 42 martyrs' families of the popular mobilization, and which were mostly from Karbala, four from Hilla and two from Najaf. And this was the eighth tribute in the holy city, as Karbala has given many martyrs, and the blood of its people was the one stimulating the Mujahideen to sacrifice their lives by drawing indescribable epics."
He added: "These respective families received a sum of money from the fundraising boxes of the popular mobilization deployed in the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and the area between the two holy shrine, in addition to some in-kind gifts from the shrine of Aba Al-fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him). Then they were invited to the host house of the shrine to seek blessing of the offered meal. This work is a modest way to thank the sacrifices of the martyrs and their families. We are continuing this work and we will have a visit to the province of Najaf to pay tribute to the martyrs' families there. And as we have said previously, and we repeat it today, the gift of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is for all martyrs' families regardless of their origins..."
Families of the martyrs has also stated: "We appreciate the initiative of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to pay tribute to the noble martyrs, and it is a moral initiative more than financial, encouraging us to continue the tender, by sending the rest of our children to the fronts until the elimination of the terrorist ISIS organization, and the liberation of all usurped Iraqi territory - InshaAllah-"
It is to mention that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, based on the guidances of the supreme religious authority to provide the necessary support for the families of th martyrs and the wounded, has prepared and integrated program that includes the organization of successive visits to the wounded and the martyrs' families in all parts of Iraq without exception, in order to communicate with them, filling their needs, give them the necessary care and the suitable tribute. these visits are continuous to visit all the families of the martyrs who were killed for the sake of the defence of the homeland, answering the advisory opinion [fatwa] of the sufficient duty of Jihad for the defence of Iraq and its holy sites.
