The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine pays tribute to the top students of the Iraqi universities..

Every year and to coincide with the auspicious birth anniversary of the Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her), the Secretariat General of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has held on Friday 3rd of Jumada Al-Ula 1437 AH corresponding to the 12th February 2016 within the project of the national Al-Kafeel youth, a central ceremony to honor the top students in the Iraqi universities (The top student of each faculty) to be a recognition step to build a new hope in the hearts of this important segment of the society and to entrench the spirit of perseverance and excellence in them.
The ceremony was attended by a significant presence of Sayed Ahmed Al-Safi the legitimate governor of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the board members of the holy shrine, representatives from the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and some members of the provincial council in Karbala, as well as the presence of representatives of Iraqi universities and their departments of university professors, accompanied by the top students, who were more than 300 students with their families. The ceremony was widely covered by the different media.
The ceremony, which was held at the Sheikh Al-Kulayni complex for the service of visitors belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, started by the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran, reading Sourat Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq, then the national Iraqi hymn was played followed by the hymn of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine "The pride's tune". Followed by the word of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine provided by its legitimate governor Sayed Ahmed Al-Safi.
Followed by the word of Iraqi universities delivered by the Chairman of the University of Karbala, Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Sa'di who has greeted the attendees and praised the role of the holy shrine in perpetuating the momentum of the scientific research in the Iraqi universities...
Then, the poet of ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) Haj Ali Al-Saffar presented a poem about inducing the effort, perseverance and love of the people of Iraq, and another poem of Dr. Adil Hussain from University of Dhi Qar.
The ceremony was concluded by the distribution of gifts and appreciation certificates to the professors and the students, and also to the media channels that accompanied this cheerful ceremony.
