With high vigor and professionalism, the works of the new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) continue..

Both the high vigor and the accurate craftsmanship were inspired from the source of motivation and perseverance; Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to give the determination to the workers to proceed the works on the great projet of the shrine's new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which have reached very advanced phases and continue until all its parts are accomplished fully, such as the woodwork and the decoration that adorn the inner side of the new grid, specifically the decorated written band that is located above the inner Quranic band, separated by an ornate belt and another Quranic band.
The length of this band is 18 m, surrounding the inner four ribs of the grid. These ribs meet with each other in each corner forming one piece of decorated design. This curved shape band consists of pieces related to each other surrounding decorations in form of rectangle called "Turar" on which were written Quranic verses using Thuluth calligraphy, surrounded by beautiful and colorful floral motifs, bringing color consistency and symmetry to all the wood pieces.
The Burmese teak was used in the manufacture of these pieces, white oak and seysam were used for the motifs, using manual and sometimes mechanical methods to form a whole harmonious piece of art in terms of the wood color and the motifs, taking into account the colors and inscriptions of the rest of the wooden parts of the surrounding bands.
No color or dye were used as it was relied only on the natural wood color, which was imported from world-class origins with high quality and characteristics. All these wood types were used according to the special proportions and measurements prepared in advance to accomplish this blessed work.
