The support funds boxes are small in size but large in the meaning..

The support funds boxes of the popular mobilization opened and supervised by the Department of Religious Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, are still receiving in kind and moral donations of the believers to perpetuate the battle momentum against the terrorist ISIL gangs. And they are inspired from the words of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household): "He who equipped a fighter, has fought." and in compliance with the directives of the supreme religious authority and its repeated assertions to support our security forces and the volunteers of the popular mobilization, taking care of their families, paying tribute to the martyrs and contributing in the treatment of the wounded.
The head of the Department of Religious Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sheikh Salah Al-Khafaji: "The Quran tells us that whoever participate in the jihad for the sake of Allah will have great reward, and there are many Quranic verses and sayings of the Imams (peace be upon them) show that the reward of the one who does the jihad himself is similar to the reward of the one who does the jihad with his money, and of course sacrificing itself is the supreme generosity. And the directives of the religious authority recently urge on the donation and the support of the popular mobilization to fill the severe shortage of the in kind and material resources."
The visitors have also praised this initiative of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, giving them the opportunity to participate with their brothers in the fronts. Noting that there is an unrivaled and a large turnout of the visitors who wish to participate in the Jihad with their fellow fighters on the battlefield.
Some of the visitors have donated their time, standing every Friday's eve near one of these funds to encourage the visitors of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him ) to donate by reminding them that thanks to those fighters, they can perform their Ziyarat in peace.
The donation boxes were put in several places to receive donations, including inside the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), in the Department of gifts and vows, and along the courtyard between the two holy shrines.
