The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine holds a Quranic gathering in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him)

The General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held a Quranic gathering to commemorate the birth anniversary of Imam Ali ibn Musa ar-Redha (peace be upon him).

The ceremony was held in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), in the presence of several officials from the holy shrine and a group of visitors who came to commemorate this blessed occasion.

The gathering began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine delivered by the Deputy Head of the Religious Affairs Department; Sheikh Adel Al-Wakeel. He extended congratulations to the attendees and the Islamic nation on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam ar-Redha (peace be upon him), discussing milestones from his noble biography, virtues, and his role in establishing Islamic values.

The member of the Central Celebrations Committee at the holy shrine; Sayed Aqeel Al-Yasiri, said, "The gathering comes to commemorate the blessed birth of Imam Ali ibn Musa ar-Redha (peace be upon him), and it included various segments."

He added that "the ceremony witnessed the participation of several readers and concluded with the honoring of the winners of the cultural electronic competition commemorating the auspicious birth anniversary."

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is keen on commemorating the occasions of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) by organizing various cultural activities; with the aim of deepening religious awareness and instilling authentic Islamic values among different segments of society.
