The painting works on the new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) are nearing completion..

Among the finishing works of the new grid of Aba al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) that are nearing completion are the works of painting with enamel and gold, including the upper written bands (kata'ib) in all its details and parts, also the poem that is on top of the grid's knotworks and the Quranic band on top of the golden decorative frieze, creating an aesthetic combination of the Arabic calligraphy and the Islamic motifs on these "kata'ib", in a magnificent piece of art in the external interface of the grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
The working staff of the servants of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) have excelled in this project, by creating a state of mating between the paint and the copper metal.
After the completion of the manufacture of these written bands (the Quranic and the poetic bands), the painting works with enamel and gold have started and the carvings and writings are implemented in an accurate and perfect way to turn the drawn lines and the inscriptions to components of plastic arts in order to bring out into light the final image, which requires high-precision skills to not hinder other decorations.
Painting with enamel is a process to cover the areas of minerals by this substance to become after its thermal processing a solid glass layer that resists scratching, temperature and other factors.
This operation goes through multiple phases, as after the manufacture of the written bands that were made of copper metal, enamel was put on it then placed in thermal ovens specially prepared for this purpose, with temperatures up to more than 1000 degrees Celsius in some cases, in line with the thickness of each piece and the amount of paint on it. Then they are cleaned of impurities to cover it with gold paint according to certain proportions, to put them in an artistic way, making each piece a exquisite piece of art that is very homogeneous in terms of colors.
It is to mention that these written bands are located in the upper part of the holy grid, as follows:
A poetic band on top of the grid's knotworks, made of copper and painted with gold and enamel.
The second band is located 5 cm on top of the poetic band (the first one) and surrounding the grid from four sides too, also made of copper and painted only with gold.
The third band is a Quranic band ascending the golden decorative frieze, a metal band made of copper that will be painted with enamel and gold.
And it was taken into account in all these written bands, the beautiful arabic calligraphy implemented without any superposition. All these bands have gone through several stages down to the final form after taking the necessary measurements and the lines. All of these works have been completed in the workshops inside the shrines' grids factory at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine using the accurate mixing rates and standards.
