The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine opens its exhibition for the final parts of the new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)..

The exhibition of the final parts and pieces of the shrine's new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was opened today, 19th of Jumada Al-Ula 1437 AH corresponding to the 28th of February 2016. The opening ceremony was held in the site of As-Saqqa 1 (the factory of the grid's manufacture) of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
This ceremony was attended by important religious and cultural figures from both inside and outside the holy city of Karbala and representatives from the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and the local government of the province as well as a large number of representatives of local and international media channels, and a group of the servants of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) led by the High Responsible of the holy shrine, its Secretary General, some members of the board of directors and the heads of its departments.
After welcoming the guests, Mr. Ali Al-Saffar the Associate Deputy Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has provided a detailed explanation of the reasons and goals of this project, and how it shifted from a project of the maintenance of the old grid to a larger project for the manufacture of new grid of the sanctuary of the Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) with high artistic and engineering characteristics in terms of the thickness, the amount of the used metals (gold and silver) in its manufacture, the inscriptions, decorations and lines that have exceeded the characteristics of the old grid, while maintaining its design as it is different from other shrines' grids. Mr. Al-Saffar has given a detailed explanation for each part and piece, starting with the decorative bands platted with enamel and gold, passing by the parts of knotworks making up the grid and finishing by the golden pieces and the wooden structure.
At the end of the tour, the High Responsible of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Sayed. Ahmed Al-Safi has delivered his word in which he stated that this exhibition is the first stage to announce the completion of the works on the new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) , other stages will follow such as the rituals of transferring the grid to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine followed by dismantling the old grid and then the installation of the new gris, and God willing, it will be inaugurated on the birth anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful Ali Ibn abi Taleb (peace be upon both of them)."
It is to mention that the aim of this exhibition is to introduce this great achievement, which was manufactured by the servants of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and to send a message to the world that the Iraqis are able to accomplish such works after they have been monopolized by certain countries.
