The procession included a mourning march that started from Bab al-Murad Street leading to the shrine of the two Imams al-Jawadain (peace be upon them), with the participation of various groups from the city of Karbala and its different factions, as well as the local residents. It concluded with a mourning assembly in the courtyard of the holy shrine.
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine worked on preparing logistical and service matters, including providing buses for transporting visitors back and forth from the city of Karbala to the capital, Baghdad, in addition to coordinating the movement of the procession.
The people of holy Karbala have been accustomed to descending annually in a unified mourning procession to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Mohammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him) at his holy shrine.
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine mobilized its efforts to serve the visitors through its service processions spread throughout the holy city of Kadhemiyah, which have been providing their services for several days.
