The dismantling works of the wooden structure of the shrine's grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) continue..

In preparation for the installation of the shrine's new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (Peace be upon him), which was manufactured with pride in the factory of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for the manufacture of shrines' grids by the hands of the employees of the holy shrine, the technical staffs working on dismantling the shrine's old grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) announced that works are continous depending on the plan drawn up by the committee supervising these works to dismantle the grid's wooden structure.
The works started by dismantling the upper parts after being strengthened by wooden pillars to protect it from any damage, and to allow the workers to complete the disassembly works without any risk, as the damage proportion of the wooden structure has been very high, and other matters have been observed, such as:
1- The structure that is made of wood, was not at the required level and from weak quality and durability compared to that time and the limited financial means.
2- The method of the installation of the wooden structure was primitive either in terms of the interdependence of the wood parts with each other on on the floor.
3- The foundations on which the wooden structure was erected, are of weak durability and are weak and can not resist anymore the external effects such as the groundwater, humidity and other things.
4- The lack of periodic maintenance and the old age of the wooden structure and its wood parts, has lead to the weakness of its components.
5- The large quantities of water sprayed by the visitors on the grid seeking the blessing, is accumulated on the foundations of the structure, which provides a suitable environment for the insects -because of the humidity- that eat the wood.
And this, is one of the reasons of changing the shrine's grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) with a new grid with very high strength and specification, in addition to the fact that it is manufactured in the workshops and factories of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, by the hands of his servants and taking into account all the above observation to manufacture a wooden structure compatible with all the metal parts that make up the grid.
