The completion of the dismantling of the wooden parts of the shrine's old grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and setting construction plans for the foundations of the new grid..

Recently, the dismantling of all the wooden parts of the shrine's old grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) has been completed, and was accompanied by the development of structural schemes in order to set up the new grid, which will replace the old one, after being manufactured by the servants of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in the factory of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for the manufacture of the shrines' grids.
It was taken into account in these works the same craftsmanship that was used in the dismantling of the metal pieces of the grid, as the wooden parts were subject of severe damage, as after reinforcing the wooden structure, the internal roof of the grid was dismantled piece by piece, followed by the other wooden parts such as those that were coated by the internal knotworks and the decorative bands...
Then all the wooden accessories was removed from the whole structure, to immediately lift it starting by its upper part down to the four corners, following the same method of dismantling the metal parts by covering and codifying every piece to preserve it.
In parallel of these works, an integrated construction plan has been completed, including many works such as removing the old alabaster and drilling new foundations with special measurements to bear the weight of the new grid.
A special dismantling of this grid plan was developed and will be executed by the same staff that worked on the new grid at the factory of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for the manufacture of shrines' grids with the help of some employees of other departments. This plan is in the following stages:
First: Installing internal and external separations as well as temporary grids in order to maintain the smooth movement of the visitors of the holy shrine and to complete the works within these cutouts.
Second: Installing a wooden box for the holy tomb to protect it from any harm or damage as a result of these works.
Third: Dismantling the metal parts mounted on the wooden structure, taking into account their protection from any damage that may happen as a result of the dismantling works as these parts are old and some are abraded, as well as their installation method that was primitive, as they were fixed by special screws, then covering them by plastic bands and piece of cloth and put them inside boxes that were made according to the measurement of each part and piece and putting a number and a code on the box to be transported later to the warehouses of the holy shrine.
Fourth: Dismantling the wooden structure and its accessories, and same method used for the metal pieces in the third stage will be done to the structure from the disassembly down to storage.
Fifth: Conducting the civil and installation works from digging the foundations and pouring concrete and others that will be mentioned later, according to engineering schemes overseen and implemented by the engineering projects department at the holy shrine.
