Lanterns and lotus flowers ornament the upper parts of the shrine's new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)..

After the completion of the installation of the second part of the roof of the shrine's new grid of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which consists of three parts, the works of decoration started by the installation of the lanterns and lotus flowers that ascend the ornate band that surrounds the second part of the roof, which installation was completed recently.
There are 26 lanterns made of copper metal painted with pure gold, each lantern consists of two parts taking together a form of flower, having the cup as a bottom part in a spherical hollow form with 10 cm diameter, while the second part is in form of 8 cm flowers' petals with 15 cm length. The lantern is based on the crescent-shaped base open from the top, the distance between its ends is of 14 cm, all surrounded from the bottom by an ornate band of 22 cm and 18 cm length around the grid, decorated with floral carvings embroidered with blue enamel in brilliant artistic forms.
Between every two lanterns a lotus flower of 1 cm, these 30 flowers are made also of copper and gold-plated, and a height of 15 cm from the highest point.
These patterns and shapes were manufactured manually and using special machines to form different shapes and patterns for these pieces, which went through several stages until reaching the final stages.
It is to mention that the new grid of the shrine of the Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) was manufactured in the workshops of the crafts' factory belonging to the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine with high quality, durability and accuracy. In fact it is the first grid which is entirely manufactured in Iraq with Iraqi handicrafts-men. It is also characterized by the originality of its engravings and decorations in addition to the fact that it keeps the same overall structure and engravings of the old one, with few additions, upgrades and modifications, because of its uniqueness design comparing to the grids of the holy shrines in Iraq and in the Islamic world.

A very nice piece of work is being done.May God protect the servants of Mola Abbas a.s and keep them safe and sound from the oppressors. Insha Allah, a day will come when the boundary of the harmain would be upto Nehr e Hussainia and the markets would be no more near the harmain.
