For the fourth year in a row: The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launches the annual cultural festival of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in India..

Amid the joy of the celebrations of the Faithful and lovers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) for the birth anniversary of the Master and Commander of the Faithful Ali Ibn abi Taleb (peace be upon him and his father), the Annual Cultural Festival of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), was launched for the fourth year in a row on Friday the 14th Rajab 1437 AH corresponding to the 22nd April 2016, helf and sponsored by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in the Indian city of Bangalore, under the slogan: "Imam Ali (peace be upon him), the gateway of the Prophet's knowledge", with the participation of th holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and of the two Imams Al-Kadhem and Al-Jawad (peace be upon all of them), and that will last for four days.
The opening ceremony was attended by important religious, intellectual, cultural and social figures and an elite of Indian scholars and students of the Hawzas from the city of Bangalore and beyond, as well as the delegations of the holy shrines in Iraq (of Imam Al-Hussayn, Al-Kadhem and Al-Jawad, and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them)), in addition to a large presence of the people of Bangalore city who have filled the central square of the military mosque.
The ceremony began with the recitation of the verses of the Holy Quran by the reader Sayed Haydar Gelokhan, followed by the word of the holy shrines delivered by Sheikh Ali Al-Asdi from the Department of the religious affairs of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which he has started by presenting the congratulations on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) and conveying the greetings from the holy shrines to their brothers in this city...
Followed by the word of the Sufi Foundation for peace in the Indian city of Delhi, delivered by Dr. Hafeez Rahman, in which he stated: "Imam Ali (peace be upon him) is a personality upon whom all the Islamic sects agree..."
This was also followed by the word of the Foundation India for All, delivered by Sayed Gulab Rasheed, in which he stated: "We welcome our guests from Iraq and its holy shrines, and it is a great honor for us to meet these blessed faces of the servants of the holy shrines, who have endured the travel burdens in order to build bridges of love and communication with their brothers in India, making the birth anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) an annual festival in various Indian cities. So, thanks to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for embracing this religious festival, and the thanks also go to all who contributed in establishing it."
The interventions were concluded by the word of Sayed Gulab Sadiq one of the religious scholars and the dean of a religious school and one of the representatives of the supreme religious authority in the Indian city of Lucknow, in which he stated: "All thanks go to the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for its continuous and permanent communication with the lovers and followers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in the Republic of India, and setting up this religious festival is a clear evidence of its constant and continuing commitments for this approach, which we aspire and hope to be continuous."
The opening ceremony has also included the recitation of some poems that embodied this momentous occasion and its great impacts in the hearts of Muslims. Then the attendees were invited to the opening of the book fair that are in English and Urdu, the photo exhibition and intellectual and religious competitions in which all of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn, Imam Al-Kadhem and Al-Jawad, and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) have participated.
