Female civil activists from Bangalore city meet the delegates of the holy shrines.

On the sidelines of the annual cultural festival of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in its fourth edition, held by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in the Indian city Bangalore, the delegations of the holy shrines in Iraq, currently present in the city, have met a group of feminist elite of civil activists representing more than seven civil society organizations, institutions and foundations.
The meeting started with the word of Sheikh Qasim Kadhem Jallab from the Kadhimiya holy shrine, in which he has explained many points related to the woman and the position given to her by God. As the woman in Islam is honored after that she was in era of ignorance [Jahiliyah] humiliated and disrespected, saying: "O sisters, you have to preserve this positions and status, as there are many women who were famous by their science and knowledge, writing their names in history in letters of light, inspired by the immaculate Lady Fatima Az-Zahra and her daughter Lady Zaynab (peace be upon both of them)."
Adding: "What adorns the woman is her Hijab and chastity, as the Holy Prophet and Imams (peace be upon them) have recommended to abide by the veil [hijab] and its reward and never underestimate it. And Lady Zaynab (peace be upon her) is our role model, as despite the calamities and injustice she had to face, she maintained her Hijab. And our presence today through this festival is to deepen the ties and to clarify the Islamic religion and its concepts, including the affairs related to the women."
Concluding: "I advise you, sisters, to remain steadfast in regards with these Islamic rules and to respect the rights of God, by educating you daughters and your children to walk on the same path, without being affected by anything that is alien to the Islamic nation, and closing all windows and doors that seek to push away from the right path."
Sheikh Qassem has also spoken about marriage matters, such as the rights of the husband and the wife according to the teachings of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them). The ladies have then ask their questions during this meeting, and the delegates of the holy shrines have answered to each of them and explained every point.
