Sha'ban the month of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household)

The month of Sha'ban is a holy month that is attributed to the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household), like it is stated in the holy narrations. Imam Musa Al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) has said: The Messenger of Allah (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household) said: "Sha'ban is my month and th month of Ramadan is the month of Allah."
And Imam As-Sadeq (peace be upon him) said: "When they had some days to fast, the wives of the Holy Prophet Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household) would postpone them to the month of Sha’ban so that they would not prevent him from getting what he might want from them. In Sha’ban, they and the Holy Prophet Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household) would fast. The Holy Prophet Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household) used to say, “Sha’ban is my month.”."
And the commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) used to fast Rajab and says: Rajab is my month, Sha'ban is the month of the Messenger of Allah (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household) and the month of Ramadan is the month of Allah the Almighty."
And we read in the supplication in every day of the month of Sha'ban: "...And this is the month You have attributed to Your Prophet, the master of Your Messengers; the month of Sha'ban You have encompassed it with your mercy and pleasure.
During this holy month, we have then to follow the Sunnah of the Holy Messenger of Allah (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household) and disseminate his teachings among the people.
What Sha'ban means?
The holy narration of the Messenger of Allah (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household) said: "It was called Sha'ban because it [tacha'ab] emerges in [arzaq] the livelihood of the faithful."
And it is no secret that the provision [Rizq] is more general than the material and moral livelihoods, and maybe the hadith is a reference to the division of the [Arzaq] on the eve of its fifteenth day, as the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household) said: "The month of Sha'ban [tasha'ab] “branches off” and leads on to many good things."
Among the names of the Sha'ban is the month of intercession [Shafa'at], the Messenger of Allah (allah's prayers be upon him and holy household) said: "In Sha’ban, invoke Almighty Allah’s blessings upon your Prophet as many times as possible. The month of Sha’ban is called the month of intercession, because your Messenger will intercede for every one who invokes Almighty Allah’s blessing upon him in this month."
What also characterize this blessed month is containing many important occasions, including:
The second day of the month of Sha'ban:
The imposition of the fasting of the month of Ramadan was revealed on the second year of Hijra, and according to another narration it is on the last day of this month.
The third day of the month of Sha'ban:
On this day of the fourth year of Hijra, Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) was born [according to all historians]. And it was the day when the angels descended from the heaven to congratulate the Messenger of Allah (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household) for this happy newborn.
And on this day of the year sixty of Hijra, Imam Al-Hussayn arrived to Mecca after that he went out of Medina refusing the allegiance of Yazid ibn Mu'awyah.
The fourth day of the month of Sha'ban:
Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas son of Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon them all) was born in the year 26 AH.
The fifth day of the month of Sha'ban:
Imam As-Sajjad (peace be upon him) was born on the year 38 AH, and on the day day the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) won in the war of Al-Jamal.
The eleventh day of the month of Sha'ban:
Ali Akbar son of Al-Hussayn (peace be upon both of them) was born either in the year 33 AH or 38 AH.
The fifteenth of the month of Sha'ban:
On the eve of this day, our Master Al-Hujjah son of Al-Hassan Al-'Askari, The Owner of the Order and the Advent (prayers be upon him and upon his infallible fathers) was born on the year 254 AH. And it is a very blessed and auspicious night called the night of mercy. The Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household) had said that during the night of 15th Sha'ban the Almighty takes decisions in the matters of sustenance, life and death and welfare of the people. Next to the “Night of Qadr” the night of 15th Sha’baan is the most auspicious night (also known as “night of Bara'ah”). According to the Imams Allah has promised to fulfill every legitimate desire put forward to Him tonight. During this night Allah bestows on His people from His bounty and forgives them out of His grace and generosity.
