The two holy shrines launch the events of the twelfth International Cultural Festival of the Martyrdom Spring

For the twelfth year in row, and in the holy shrine of Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), the International Cultural Festival of the martyrdom spring, set up and sponsored by the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), was launched on Tuesday the 2nd Sha'ban 1437 AH corresponding to the 10th of May 2016, under the slogan "Imam Al-Hussayn; The freedom lantern and the martyrdom beacon" in order to celebrate the birth anniversaries of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and the shining moons of the House of Prophecy (peace be upon them all).
The opening ceremony, which started by the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran by the Reader Hajj Osama Al-KArbalai, was attended by cultural, religious and academic figures from inside and outside Iraq, and was broadcasted by the local, Araba and international Media. A welcoming word was delivered by Sheikh Abd Al-Mahdi Al-Karbalai; the High Responsible of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) on behalf of the two General Secretaries of the holy shrines, who has welcomed the festival guests from inside and outside Iraq, congratulating them for the auspicious birth of the grandson of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and his holy Household) Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and linking this great personality to the lessons he (peace be upon him) has given through his call to follow the right and justice and making the greatest sacrifice of humanity to distinguish the truth from the falsehood...
Followed by the word of the presidency of the Shiite Endowment delivered by Sheikh Haydar Al-Sahlani who has stated the importance of going back to the thought, morals and teachings of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon him) to fight the moral deterioration lived currently in the world, and which requires a re-meditation in the ways of organizing the life, and that is only possible by following the thought of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), as they are the full human model and the good example that brings the humanity out from darknesses into the light...
Followed by a poem of the great poet Mudar Al-Alusi reminding the attendees of the authentic and original Arab poesy in a upscale style and great diction.
This poem was followed by the word of the delegation of the Republic of Georgia delivered by Mr. Farid Ismayilov, a professor of the Islamic civilization, who has congratulate all believers of the birth anniversary of the Prophet's grandson; Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and who stated: "The school of Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) is an inspirational source for others as humanity is constantly in need of reform and in permanent motion towards integration, and the Hussayni school is the only way to guide not only Muslims but the whole of humanity, to achieve their supreme goal."
Then, came the word of the head of Kabul Scholars Council, Sayed Mohammad Ebrahim Bakizi in which he stated: "When the heart of the human is emptied of the fear of God the Almighty, he will turn into a wild wolf, such as Yazid and his soldiers, terrosits of ISIL and the similar extremists groups.. And if the Muslims want to live in peace and security, they must follow the school of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) as his ark is the ark of salvation..."
The ceremony also included a tribute to the families of the martyrs of the Fatwa of the sufficient duty of Jihad, who have sacrificed their blood for the soil of the homeland and its holy places. The choir of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and the Munshid Mohammad Al-Tamimi have also participated in this opening ceremony.
