The new 18 domes on the roof of the sanctuary of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)..

In a record time, and within the planned technical and time schedule, one of the phases of the expansion project of the holy shrine by roofing the sanctuary of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), has been completed, namely covering the domes with kashi Karbala'i.
Engineer Dea' Majid Al-Sa'egh, head of the Engineering Project Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine stated to Al-Kafeel Network: "The cladding by the kashi Karbala'i included two types of domes.
The first type: The 14 small domes, which number symbolizes the 14 infallible of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), each of them has 5 meters diameter and 3 meters height from its base to its outer summit.
The second type: Four large-sized domes, with 9 meters of diameter and 5 meters height, erected in the corners of the shrine, the first will be named after Lady Um Al-Baneen the mother of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and the three others will be named after the brothers of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) who are also martyrs of the timeless tragedy of At-Taf.
He added: "The works of cladding were preceded by the installation of the pieces of the metal structure of the domes and cladding it with special material "the fiber glass", which is a strong and light material of high resistance to breakage and water leakage, imported from South Korea, and manufactured and formed in the Malaysian company "DK", followed by cladding with Kashi Karbalai, which was selected according to special technical and engineering standards, and after a number of laboratory and field tests, we have chosen a type that is characterized by its light weight and 1cm of thickness, with inscriptions and carvings consistent with what exist in the corridors of the holy shrine to create a symmetry state, as well as its quality of resistant color and its high resistance to weather conditions and high temperatures that reach more than 60 degrees Celsius, and with different sizes depending on the measurements of each dome."
Adding: "The adhesive material type used with Kashi Karbala'i along with the Fiber Glass, is British origin glue that has been tested and chosen among many types, and which have proved its success in the test of gluing these two materials, and it is also characterized by its resistance to climatic factors, high gluing strength, ease of use and its relevance to the nature of the glued materials physically and chemically."
It is noteworthy that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has assigned the company of Ard Al-Quds, which is an Iraqi contracting company based in the holy city of Karbala, to be the responsible of the architectural design and the construction of the expansion of the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) by roofing his holy sanctuary, the same company was also entrusted with the implementation of all civil works of the project, starting from casting the concrete pillars that surround the holy sanctuary, along with the electricity works, water networks, fire, sound and lighting systems and the packing operations, etc. in addition to its responsibility of the agreement with foreign companies to implement the iron structure and glass works in coordination with administration of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, under the direct supervision of its department of engineering projects.
