This came in the table of new moons for the holy month of Ramadan of the year 1437 AH corresponding to the year 2016, published at the website of the supreme religious authority Sayed Ali Al-Hussayni Al-Sistani in Najaf. Explaining that it is expected to see the crescent of the month of Ramadan in the evening of Monday the 30th Sha'ban corresponding to the 6th of June 2016 in the horizon of the holy city of Najaf at the sunset at 7:06 pm. The table has shown the light ratio in the crescent 3,26%, and in this case, the crescent is expected to be clearly visible and high with age of 37 hours and 3 minutes, and its height in the horizon 13 degrees and 56 minutes, and its stay duration after the sunset will be one hour and 13 minutes.
It is also expected that the crescent on this night will be in the holy city of Najaf at the sunset at 7:06 pm, and the light ratio in the crescent will be 0,59% and in this case it is not possible to see the crescent with naked eye.
Thus, the first day of the holy month of Ramadan of the year 1437 AH will be Tuesday corresponding to the 7th June, 2016, in Iraq and in the Middle East, God willing.
