A Quranic Evening in the holy month of Ramadan at the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)

A Quranic Evening was held on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan at the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him, by the Institute of the Holy Quran of the Department of human and Islamic knowledge affairs Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine. It will continue until the last day of the holy month by reading a full juz' per day, with the participation of the international Iraqi readers.

The Quranic Khatma is one of the activities held by the Institute during this month, as the holy month of Ramadan is not like any other month, its days are the best, its nights are the best, and its hours are the best. A month of mercy, forgiveness and an opportunity to be saved from the Hellfire. The rewards during it are doubled. Therefore, the holy shrine set us this activity every year. It is narrated from Imam Mohammad Al-Baqer (Peace be upon him): "Everything has a spring and the spring of Holy Quran is the month of Holy Ramadan." There is a close relationship and a solid bond between the Quran and the month of fasting. So, these Khatma and Quranic events are one of the most important methods and media to strengthen the bonds of this spiritual relationship.

The director of the Holy Quran Institute; Sheikh Jawad Al-Nasrawi stated to Al-Kafeel Network: "As you know, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine is very interested to disseminate the Quranic culture, and among its concerns is the Quranic khatma held annually in the holy month of Ramadan. And during the two last years, there was a difference from the previous years, as the General Secretary gave great interest in the place where the Khatma is established, by decorating it and organizing a daily live broadcast to the satellite channels at 5:30 pm, and this khatma is held at the holy sanctuary of the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)."

Adding: "During this khatma, a complete Juz' is read per day, with the participation of twenty readers by five readers per day according to a special timetable after the conduct of many tests to them by specialized committee."

In addition to those readers, the readers of two holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) have participating, including Haj Mustafa Al-Sarraf, Haj Osama Al-Karbalai', Sayed Hassanein Al-Helo, Sayed Mustafa Al-Ghalibi and Haj Adel Al-Karbalai'."

It is to mention that the Holy Quran Institute holds several festivities and Quranic evenings in the holy city of Karbala and other provinces in order to spread the Quranic culture among the community and to create a blessed Quranic generation that follow the path of the two weighs; the Holy Quran and the holy Household.
