In pictures: Crowds of the believers gathering for the Quranic evenings

The nostalgic hearts yearn for sitting in the shade of the Quranic Khatma during the holy month of Ramadan, in a place filled with the remembering of the Almighty Allah day and night; the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), where the believers flock to assist to the Quranic evenings in the month of Ramadan, the month of Allah and the spring of the Quran, in which Muslims are the guests of the Almighty Allah.

The Quranic Khatma was launched since the first day of the holy month of Ramadan and will last until the last day of the holy month, reciting one entire Juz' per day, with the participation of a number of readers from the International Iraq's readers. It is held under the supervision of the Institute of the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine aiming many objectives, such as: the reward got for the recitation of the holy Quran during the month of Ramadan, learning the correct recitation, knowing new tunes. The sanctity of the place shines with tranquillity to recite the Book of Allah and meditate in its verses, joining the two weighs; the Holy Quran and Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), through the collective recitation that create a wide meditation on every word of the Holy Book.

It is noteworthy that this Quranic Khatma comes in departure of the words of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household): "Everything has a spring and the spring of the Quran is the month of Ramadan" and falls within the plan pursued by the holy shrine in spreading the Quranic culture and the authentic Mohammadi thought in the society, to entrench the principles of Islam, which have become necessities of the community at the moment.
