The closing ceremony of the ninth annual cultural festival of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him)

On yesterday Wednesday 16th of the month of Ramadan 1437AH corresponding to the 22nd June 2016, the closing ceremony of the ninth annual cultural festival of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him) set up by the supreme committee supervising the festival of Kareem Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), under the auspices of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) under the slogan "the wisdom of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) a light that has enlightened At-Taf road" was held in the hall of the Shiite Endowment in Babylon province to celebrate the auspicious birth of the grandson of the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household); Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him).

The closing ceremony, which was assisted by the delegation of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in addition to the sayeds and sheikhs and a large number of academics and university professors from inside and outside of Hilla, has started by the recitation of verses of the holy Quran and reading Al-Fatiha in memory of martyrs of Iraq. Then an intellectual forum was held by a lectured presented by Dr. Salem Jari, professor in the university of Karbala, speciality Arabic language and semantics, the research was titled: "The personality of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him) suspicions and answers", in which he had reviewed a number of the holy verses that were revealed about the Imam (peace be upon him) and the prophetic narrations about him. Dr. Salem has also discussed the political and reform role of the Imam before the revolution of his brother of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), responding to some suspicions raised in history books about the peace treaty with Mu'awiyah and his other positions.

The session was concluded by paying tribute to Dr. Prof Salem Jari in addition to the top students in Babylon province for sixth primary class, in the presence of Babylon province education director and a group of teachers and parents of students. The tribute was also paid to the teachers volunteering to provide tutoring for studying children of martyrs and the fighters volunteers.

The festival guests, after the prayer and supplication, had their Iftaar, then assisted to the second research session, in which the researcher Sayed Mohamed Reda Sharaf Al-Din Al-‘Amili from Lebanon has presented a lecture entitled "The white renaissance, a renewed vision of the peace treaty of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him)", in which he has showed in a new and different way the roles and positions of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him).

Followed by the participation of Ali Al-Musawi who has read the Ziyarat of Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him), and the ceremony was concluded by the distribution of appreciation certificates and shields to the festival guests, of the researchers, media agencies, preparatory committees of the festival and all those who contributed and participated in the success of this blessed festival.

It is noteworthy that this festival is held annually in the month of Ramadan to celebrate the auspicious birth anniversary of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him), and aims to demonstrate the missionary role, led by the Imam (peace be upon him), the statements of his position towards the ruling authority represented then by Mu'awiyah, and to highlight the tribulations and pressures faced by the Imam (peace be upon him) in all his life.
