The believers commemorate the first night of destiny (Laylatul Qadr) at the holy shrines of Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them)

At the vicinity of the holy shrines of the Master of martyrs Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them), the believers have commemorated the rituals of the first night of destiny [Laylatul Qadr] and the night in which our Master the Commander of the Faithful Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon both of them) in a spiritual atmosphere filled with faith and reverence. The two holy shrines and the square between them were packed by the crowds of visitors, who have prayed, recited the Holy Quran and performed the rest of the special acts of this blessed night, invocating the Almighty to accept their good deeds and to protect Iraq, its people and its holy places, and to bestow victory to the security forces and the volunteers supporting them in the fields of Jihad.

It is worth mentioning that the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has prepared a special program for the commemoration of the rituals of the holy nights of Destiny [Laylatul Qadr] and the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) by dedicating religious lectures on every night of the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to setting up obituary Majlis [lamentation].
