The maintenance and renewal works of the mirrors in the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) continue in accelerated pace

The mirror unit of the Department of Engineering Maintenance at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine continues its maintenance and renewal works of the mirrors in the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) by removing the damaged mirrors and replacing them with new ones in brilliant colors and beautiful inscriptions, used for the first time along with the use of modern lighting. And recently the shrine's mirrors were accomplished at the side of the gate of Imam Mohammad Al-Jawad (peace be upon him).

The head of the mirrors' unit; Mr. Hassan Sa'id Mahdi explained to Al-Kafeel Network: "Our works continue to renew the shrine's mirrors of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and we have achieved advanced completion ratios, by completing the mirrors at the area between the gate of Imam Mohammad Al-Jawad (peace be upon him) and the women entrance, by removing the damaged old mirrors and treating the cracks occurring in the walls, with the contribution of Ard Qods company by injecting them with special material to arm the walls then by BRC in addition to another type of iron followed by covering the walls by SBR, SEGA, which is a material of fibres used to strengthen the walls to be painted by plaster blended with gypsum, and the wall is ready for the carvings above which the mirrors will be placed."

Adding: "As you know, we use new mirrors that have been grafted with colors, and which will be used for the first time by treating and grafting the Muqarnas and juts that suffered from earlier damage, we have changed also the decoration of the gate of Imam Mohammad Al-Jawad (peace be upon him) from the women side, through working on the arches like in the skylights' arches that were damaged Muqarnas. And the blacksmithing workshop at the department has made metal structures of 10 mm thickness in form of arches armed by BRC and covered with fibres to be covered with the mirrors."

It is worth mentioning that the mirrors' unit continue its work by replacing the mirrors in the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) through removing the damaged mirrors and replacing them with new mirrors in new consistent and beautiful colors.
